Our story

Built slowly, like good dough

Stone Bloom began with a stone-deck oven and a simple idea: a cafe should feel like a friend's kitchen, only with better coffee.

We bake through the early hours, buy flour from mills that care about grain and pour coffee from small roasters we know by name. Nothing is rushed, and nothing sits under a heat lamp.

"If it isn't worth waiting a minute for, it isn't worth serving." The house rule
  • Small roastersRotating lots, roasted fresh.
  • Stone-bakedLong ferments, real crust.
  • SeasonalFruit and veg at their best.
When to visit

The rhythm of our day

Open every day. Each part of the day has its own mood, so choose the one that suits you.

  1. 7:00 – 10:30

    Morning rush

The ovens open, croissants are still warm and coffee comes fast for people on the way to work.

  2. 10:30 – 14:30

    Slow midday

Plates come out, the sunny window seats free up and the pace eases. Ideal for a long catch-up.

  3. 14:30 – 16:00

    Quiet afternoon

The last bakes, a pot of tea and a calm room. Bring a book and stay a while.

Open daily, 7:00 – 16:00 Walk-ins always welcome. Tables for six or more can be arranged in advance.

Questions, answered

Anything else? Ask us at the counter.

Do you cater for dietary needs?

Yes. There is always a vegan bake and a vegetarian plate, plus several gluten-free options. We bake with nuts and wheat on site, so please let us know about allergies.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome, and there's a water bowl by the door.

Is it okay to work on a laptop?

Of course. Our quieter afternoons are best for focused work. At the busiest times we may ask you to share a table.

Do I need to book?

Not for small groups; just walk in. For six or more, send a gatherings enquiry and we'll set a table aside.
